about me

hi there!

I’m Celia, a German character designer, illustrator and art teacher.

From an early age, I found inspiration in the colorful characters that surrounded me, and I was always eager to improve my skills and capture these personalities on paper.

In 2015, I embarked on my journey as a freelancer, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with numerous clients in the animation industry. My experiences have spanned character development for mobile games, bringing enchanting worlds to life in children’s books, and contributing character designs to both television and feature film animations.

Alongside my professional endeavors, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to share my knowledge and passion with others. For over a decade, I’ve been teaching the art of character design and traditional drawing animation, empowering aspiring artists to embark on their own creative journeys.

When I’m not drawing, you can usually find me somewhere carving wood or sitting in a local bar with my partner in crime and my Corgi Calzone, watching interesting human designs passing by in town. Sometimes I’m crafting realistic paper plants, which seems to be a way of dealing with the fragility of life (when it comes to house plants).

Let’s work together and bring your ideas to life!

I’ve previously worked with Penguin Random House, Ubisoft Mobile, Passion Pictures, Constantin Film, Blender, Boulder Media, Brown Bag Studios, Trickstudio Lutterbeck, Red Parrot Studios and more…
